At Davis HomeSchool, we feel that stronger roots build a stronger tree!

Currently, we are working on a study of Guitar.  Michael got one for Christmas.  He is becoming more fluent on the computer and practicing his fine motor skills at his own natural pace.
Check our Resource links soon.

Michael is no longer a homeschool student, although we are considering doing it again one year.  Zach is attending second grade in public school.  We do expect to be supplement Zach as needed.  He's a little more negative than last year.

I am attending college classes two nights per week through Concord.

In the news.....

West Virginia is currently waiting for results of their "experimental law change allowing parents
of the most basic education level to the highest college level teach their own child.  West Virginia is normally one of the strictest and it has one of the worst records for it's public education at large!  The adults in West Virginia are on average, less educated than adults in other states.   We believe HomeSchooling could help the child who learns best in an alternative learning environment become an educated adult.

AND....
Be sure to check out the West Virginia State Board of Education's page to hear about the forums held around the state.  I participated in the Beckley forum held at Woodrow.  I sat at Table # 1 if you're curious what we came up with there.  It was very interesting.

We got most of our HomeSchooling materials from
Staples
.
I am no longer selling DK Books... many of them are now in my collection though.
